CANNONAU is the most widespread autochthonous red grape variety in Sardinia, indeed it is the oenological symbol of Sardinia.
The taste of cannonau is intense, savory, not very acidic. The taste is velvety, warm and the bitter flavors of dipano tannins layer by layer: licorice, rebarbaro, coffee, cola. Alcohol is never low, the structure is elegant, but very large.
Recommended pairings for cannonau wine:
- grilled meat;
- baked lasagna;
- Risotto with truffles.
